Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GoLovefy mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated by GoLovefy ("GoLovefy," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Service is not available to anyone under 18.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated. You may have one account and may not transfer or sell it.

3. Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose, or to harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate others.
• Post content that is illegal, sexual, violent, hateful, discriminatory, or that infringes another's rights.
• Solicit money, promote commercial services, or share spam or malicious links.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service, or attempt to disrupt it.
• Collect other users' information without consent.
• Create a false identity or misrepresent your age, location, or identity.
• Share another person's private information without permission.

Violation of these rules may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent termination of your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, videos, bio, messages). You grant GoLovefy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Service as needed to operate it. You represent that you have the rights to your content and that it complies with these Terms. We may review and remove content that violates our policies.

5. Matching, Chat, and Interactions

The Service provides matching and messaging features to help you connect with others. GoLovefy does not guarantee matches or any outcome, and is not a party to any interaction between users. You use the Service at your own risk and are solely responsible for your interactions. Exercise caution and follow our safety guidance when meeting others.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

GoLovefy offers optional paid subscriptions (weekly, monthly, and yearly) processed by Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave. Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your app store account settings or payment provider; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current paid period. Refunds, where applicable, are governed by the relevant store's or provider's policies.

7. Premium Features

Paid plans unlock features such as unlimited likes, advanced filters, and profile boosts. Features may change over time. We may offer limited-time promotions or trials; terms of any offer are disclosed at the time it is presented.

8. Verification

Verification (photo review and optional ID verification) helps identify authentic profiles but is not a guarantee of identity or safety. A verified badge reflects completion of certain profile steps and does not constitute an endorsement. You remain responsible for verifying the identity of anyone you interact with.

9. Reports and Moderation

You can report users or content that violate these Terms. We may investigate and take action, including removing content, warning, suspending, or terminating accounts, at our discretion and without notice.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the GoLovefy name, logo, software, and design, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding or content except as needed to use the Service.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that matches or results will be accurate or successful.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoLovefy and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service or your interactions with other users. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, if any.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold GoLovefy harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your content and data.

15. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party providers (e.g. Google, Apple, payment processors, and social platforms). We are not responsible for their practices; review their terms and privacy policies.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to GoLovefy's operating jurisdiction. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
